Yahoo!
What is My Yahoo!?
It is a personalized version of the Yahoo! homepage. It can be found here:
http://my.yahoo.com
If you do not already have a Yahoo! account, you will need to create one. After you have created one and login, you should see a screen that looks something like this:
As you may have noticed on the bottom window of the my Yahoo! homepage is showing the items I am watching on My eBay. Nifty! Right?
Thats cool! I want to do it too!
Don't worry I'll show you how it's done. Notice below the windows in the middle section there is an "Add Content" link (The second red arrow is pointing to it), click that and you should see a screen that looks something like this:
Next click on the "Add RSS by URL" link pointed out by the red arrow above. You should now see something like this:
Now go into the
AuctionMonitor.net (Click to open a new browser window) login and choose the feed that you want. Right click on the feed link and click copy shortcut (IE) or Copy Link Location (Firefox) for the PC. For the Mac, Ctrl-Click on the feed link and click Copy Link (Safari) or Copy Link Location (Firefox).
Paste this link into the "URL" field (The red arrow is pointing at it in the picture above). Push Add and will ask you to confirm the content, and have a big yellow "+ Add To My Yahoo!" button someone on the right side, click that and it will be added to your My Yahoo! page.
You can now drag and drop the window anywhere.
Clicking on the edit link will allow the feed to show up to 30 items, you can also choose to display the short summary (which is where it tells yout he price, bids, BIN price, and end date). You can now make
http://my.yahoo.com your homepage, you can see the weather, news and your eBay items in 1 quick glance everytime you open your browser!
